Nutrition in the Prevention of Chronic Human Diseases  

  1. To examine the scientific basis for nutritional intervention in prevention/treatment of chronic human diseases.
  2. To understand current theories and controversies surrounding nutritional intervention in prevention of chronic human diseases.
  3. To develop the oral and written skills to critically review, interpret and applying the findings of recent studies to nutritional recommendations.

Lectures are the same as for NUTR 452, but with additional assignments and evaluation appropriate to graduate studies.
