Financial assistance for graduate students is available on a competitive basis. Each year, over forty awards are offered to graduate students by academic staff and various agencies and endowments. Effective Septmeber 1, 2009, Graduate Students Stipends will increase to a minimum of $19,000 per annum for MSc thesis-based and $21,000 per annum for PhD. Stipends may be more for certain scholarships and may be supplemented by a teaching assistantship. Students are responsible for paying their tuition and living expenses from this stipend.
